Ryan Zak is a 24-year old musician, author, sound designer and explorer. He recently completed his Masters Degree in Media Production at Ryerson University and is now working freelance in various audio positions around Toronto.

Ryan has done audio production for a number of notable clients, including Tim Hortons, Rogers, Molson, FedEx, Coca Cola, TSN, and Virgin Mobile.

Ryan has released four full-length albums under the artist name "Moment" (his most recent album "Sounds Fun" can be found on iTunes and CD Baby), has had his poetry published in a magazine, recently released his second book "The Heartbeat Purpose" as a free online PDF, and is currently trying to get his debut novel, "Becoming Fools," published.

In his spare time, Ryan is trying to find a cure for hairloss in aging manatees.

Thought on Creativity

For my view on creativity I must refer to my hero, Kurt Vonnegut:
"Nobody will stop you from creating. Do it tonight. Do it tomorrow. That is the way to make your soul grow - whether there is a market for it or not! The kick of creation is the act of creating, not anything that happens afterward. I would tell all of you reading these words: Before you go to bed, write a four line poem. Make it as good as you can. Don't show it to anybody. Put it where nobody will find it. And you will discover that you have your reward."
